Many controlling departments are stuck in old ways of thinking, structures and processes. But the world is changing. If you want to be fit for the future, you have to change as well. Future making has become a central task of our time. This also applies to controlling. But what does the future of controlling actually look like? What are future-proof tasks, roles and processes? And how do you establish them? These are questions that you will explore in this workshop. What's more, you will work directly on the future making of your own controlling department. Because the future is now.

This seminar is dedicated to leaders in controlling who want to make their controlling departments fit for the future.

1. WHY Future Controlling – why do we need a new controlling paradigma?

  • Explore the dynamics of change that affect organizations and controlling departments
  • Reflect on the controlling reality from a new work perspective
  • Refocus from controlling challenges to potential for future change

2. WHAT Future Controlling – what needs to change in controlling?

  • Review the topicality of the controlling identity
  • Overview novel tasks in controlling
  • Create flexible role profiles with future-oriented skill sets
  • Reorganize the way of working in controlling

3. HOW Future Controlling – how can we create the future of controlling?

  • Follow a 4-step process model of future making recommended by the think tank of the International Association of Controllers
  • Learn from real cases such as Bosch and A1 Telekom Austria
  • Reflect on showstoppers and enablers of future making

4. WHO Future Controlling – who leads the way into the future of controlling?

  • Set responsibilities in the future making of controlling
  • Draw your own future picture of your particular controlling department
  • Outline the way and measures of future making in your own controlling department
 
Kim Louisa Dillenberger
 

Dr. Kim Louisa Dillenberger, acts as transformation expert at the intersection of academia and practice. She functions as driving force for organizational transformation as researcher, lecturer, key note speaker and consultant. Based on her scientific projects Dr. Dillenberger generates and transfers knowledge on organizational change, routines, improvisation and learning. As Vice Academic Director at the Centre of Performance Management & Controlling of Frankfurt School of Finance & Management she is particularly dedicated to shaping the future of corporate management. Dr. Dillenberger holds a PhD in business administration and builds on her business psychology studies as well as her practice experience in training and change management on global transformation programs. All in all, Dr. Dillenberger stands for a mind and action shift in dynamic times.
